Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The P2X4 gene product is a purinoceptor for ATP and functions as a ligand-gated ion channel with high calcium permeability. Members of the purinoceptor family differ in sensitivity to antagonists such as suramin and PPADS. P2X4 shows the lowest sensitivity among them. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though their full-length forms have not been fully characterized.
