This antibody detects endogenous levels of total NIT1 protein.
Target Information
NIT1 plays a role in cell growth and apoptosis; loss of expression promotes cell growth and resistance to DNA damage stress. It has tumor suppressor properties that enhance apoptotic responsiveness in cancer cells, acting additively with FHIT. It also negatively regulates primary T-cells and lacks omega-amidase activity such as NIT2.
