Mouse anti-Bovine CD1w2 antibody, clone CC14 recognizes the CD1w2 cell surface antigen in bovine, sheep, and goat.
Target Information
The CD1w2 gene encodes a member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, structurally related to MHC proteins, forming heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. CD1 proteins mediate lipid and glycolipid antigen presentation to T cells. The human genome contains five CD1 family genes on chromosome 1. CD1 family members differ in localization and ligand specificity. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the plasma membrane and recycling vesicles of the early endocytic system. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed, but their biological validity has not been determined.
