Target Information
DOC2A (Double C2 protein alpha) and DOC2B (beta isoform) contain two C2-like domains. These isoforms are encoded by distinct genes and are sometimes confused with the unrelated DAB2 gene, initially named DOC-2. DOC2A is mainly expressed in brain tissue and is implicated in Ca²⁺-dependent neurotransmitter release.
