Target Information
FOXP4 belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. These transcription factors regulate tissue- and cell type-specific gene expression during development and adulthood. Members of the FOX family, including subfamily P, are implicated in mammalian oncogenesis. FOXP4 may play a role in tumor development in kidney and larynx. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
