Target Information
STK3 (MST2)는 MAP kinase 신호 경로 상위에서 작용하는 STE kinase 계열 단백질로, staurosporine 및 FAS ligand에 의해 활성화되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. STK3는 스트레스 반응성, 세포사멸 유도성 kinase로서 caspase 절단 후 핵으로 이동하여 염색질 응축과 DNA 절편화를 유도합니다.
Hippo 신호 경로의 핵심 구성 요소로서, 세포 증식 억제 및 세포사멸 촉진을 통해 기관 크기 조절과 종양 억제에 중요한 역할을 합니다. STK3/MST2와 STK4/MST1은 SAV1과 복합체를 이루어 LATS1/2를 활성화시키며, LATS1/2는 YAP1 및 WWTR1/TAZ를 인산화하여 세포 증식 및 이동 관련 유전자 발현을 억제합니다. 또한 STK3/MST2와 STK4/MST1은 성숙 간세포의 증식을 억제하고, 간 성체 줄기세포의 활성화를 방지하며, 종양 형성을 억제하는 데 필요합니다.
