Target Information
NRIP is a novel 860 amino acid nuclear protein consisting of seven conserved WD40 domains and one NLS motif.
It binds to androgen and glucocorticoid receptors and upregulates their transcriptional activity, functioning as a nuclear receptor coactivator.
NRIP plays a role in cell growth and has been implicated in cervical and prostate cancer, suggesting potential therapeutic relevance.
Northern blot analysis shows high expression in skeletal muscle and testis, and low expression in heart, prostate, and adrenal gland.
