Target Information
Jade-1 (PHF17) acts as a scaffold subunit of HBO1 complexes with histone H4 acetyltransferase activity. It directs KAT7/HBO1 specificity toward histone H4 acetylation (H4K5ac, H4K8ac, H4K12ac), regulating DNA replication initiation. It may also promote nucleosomal histone H4 acetylation by KAT5, promote apoptosis, and act as a renal tumor suppressor. Additionally, it negatively regulates canonical Wnt signaling, cooperating with NPHP4 in this function. [UniProt]
