Target Information
AIRE는 DNA에 이합체(dimer) 및 사합체(tetramer) 형태로 결합하는 전사 조절 단백질로, 유전자 발현 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. 핵 단백질로서 HSR 도메인, 두 개의 PHD 타입 zinc finger, SAND 도메인을 포함하며, 고분자 복합체 형태로 존재할 수 있습니다. AIRE는 CBP 및 CREBBP 전사 보조활성인자와 상호작용하며, 세 가지 isoform이 보고되어 있습니다. 그중 하나는 핵 매개 decay(NMD)의 후보로 예측됩니다. 또한 AIRE는 E3 ubiquitin ligase 활성을 매개하며, 결함 시 희귀 자가면역 질환인 APECED(autoimmune polyendocrinopathy-candidiasis-ectodermal dystrophy)를 유발합니다.
