Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum, fluorescein conjugated goat IgG, and fluorescein conjugated KLH.
Target Information
FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) is a fluorochrome dye that absorbs ultraviolet or blue light and emits visible yellow-green light upon excitation. Fluorochrome labeling enables rapid and accurate localization of antigen-antibody interactions in cells and tissues.
FITC is widely used as a hapten to label different proteins. Anti-FITC antibodies are useful for isolating FITC-labeled cells via magnetic bead sorting and for reducing background signal in fluorescence assays.
