Target Information
MMP13 (collagenase 3)는 세포외기질 단백질의 분해에 관여하는 효소로, fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, TNC, ACAN 등을 포함한 다양한 기질 단백질을 분해합니다. 특히 type II collagen에 높은 활성을 가지며, type I, III, IV, XIV, X collagen도 분해할 수 있습니다.
MMP13은 상처 치유, 조직 재형성, 연골 분해, 골 발달, 골 무기질화 및 골화 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 정상적인 배아 골 발달과 골화에 필수적이며, 유전자 변이는 spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type, metaphyseal anadysplasia 1, metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type 등을 유발할 수 있습니다.
