Pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A, Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-4 protease, PAPP-A-proMBP complex)는 약 500 kDa의 대형 이종사량체성 당단백질로, 처음 임산부의 혈청에서 발견되었습니다. 이 단백질은 두 개의 PAPP-A 소단위체와 두 개의 proMBP 소단위체로 구성됩니다. 임신 초기의 모체 혈청 내 PAPP-A 수치가 낮을 경우 다운증후군(Trisomy 21)의 생화학적 선별 지표로 사용됩니다.
