Target Information
ACVR2B는 TGF-beta 계열의 type II receptor ser/thr kinase로, activin 및 myostatin 신호전달 경로에 관여합니다. Activin과 inhibin은 TGF-beta superfamily에 속하며, 모든 TGF-beta 형태에서 공통적으로 존재하는 9개의 cysteine 잔기 중 7개의 보존된 아미노산 서열을 공유합니다.
현재 포유류에서 activin receptor IA, IIA, IB, IIB 등 총 7개의 type I과 5개의 type II activin receptor가 클로닝되었습니다. 또한 activin receptor IIA의 두 가지 splice variant와 activin receptor IIB의 다섯 가지 splice variant가 보고되었습니다.
