Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Product remains stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Goat Serum, as well as purified and partially purified Protein A (Staphylococcus aureus). Cross-reactivity with Protein A from other sources is unknown.
Target Information
Protein A is an Orphan-U GPCR with an unknown ligand. It is identified from a gene-dense region at human chromosome 12p13 and appears to be mainly expressed in the brain. Its function is not fully understood. Three alternatively spliced variants have been described, though the full length of the third variant remains undetermined.
