Invitrogen™ CytoVista™ Tissue Imaging Chamber, 3.5 mm Deep

The CytoVista Tissue Imaging Chamber is designed for imaging fluorescently stained tissue or 3D cell cultures. Simply mount this chamber on your microscope slide. Made of chemically inert silicone, it resists any clearing reagent and provides a stable environment for imaging.

After fluorescent labeling and clearing tissue or 3D cell culture, place the specimen in this chamber with imaging solution, cover with a coverslip, and you are ready to image.

CytoVista Clearing Workflow

The CytoVista workflow enables efficient clearing of tissue or 3D cultured cells with minimal morphological changes and high fluorophore compatibility.

• Whole mouse brain (8 mm section) can be cleared in 24 hours
• 1 mm section cleared in 2 hours
• No special instruments or equipment required

Compatible with common fluorescent imaging instruments such as:

• Wide-field microscopes
• High-content analyzers
• Confocal microscopes
• Lightsheet microscopes

For first-time users, we recommend:

• CytoVista Tissue Clearing/Staining Kit (Cat. No. V11324)
• CytoVista 3D Cell Culture Clearing/Staining Kit (Cat. No. V11325)
  These kits contain all necessary reagents for clearing and IHC staining.

Morphology and Reversibility

CytoVista technology clears tissue for 3D fluorescent imaging while preserving morphology. Minimal shrinkage or contraction may occur. Clearing can be reversed for histological studies such as H&E staining.

Recommended Applications

• Easily cleared tissues: brain, lung, intestine, skin, and tissues <250 μm thick
• Hard-to-clear tissues (>250 μm): kidney, liver, heart, placenta — require additional treatment with CytoVista Tissue Clearing Enhancer
• 3D cell cultures (up to 1 mm): use CytoVista 3D Cell Culture Clearing Reagent
• Not recommended: bone, cartilage, and connective tissue
