For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Pepsin is a major proteolytic enzyme secreted by the gastric mucosa. It is derived from its precursor, pepsinogen, by removal of a 41 amino acid segment from the N-terminus. Pepsinogen is synthesized in the stomach lining, and hydrochloric acid is required for its activation and to maintain the optimal pH (1–3) for pepsin function.
Pepsin effectively cleaves peptide bonds involving aromatic amino acids and exhibits broad substrate specificity. Pepsin C differs from pepsinogen and pepsin in its amino acid composition, particularly in basic amino acids, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, leucine, and isoleucine content.
