Target Information
NALP proteins are cytoplasmic proteins forming a subfamily within the larger CATERPILLER family and play a crucial role in cell proliferation and reproduction. NALP10 possesses a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region, an N-terminal Pyrin domain (PYD), a NACHT domain, and a NACHT-associated domain. Initially identified as PYNOD, NALP10 binds to ASC, caspase-1, and IL-1β, inhibiting caspase-1 autoprocessing, IL-1β processing, and ASC aggregation. Therefore, NALP10 is a potent regulator of apoptosis and inflammation.
