배경 정보
Nectin-4 (PVRL4)는 Ig superfamily에 속하는 type I transmembrane glycoprotein으로, 두 개의 Ig-like C2-type 도메인과 하나의 Ig-like V-type 도메인을 포함합니다. Nectin-1과의 상호작용을 포함한 세포 간 접착에 관여하며, alpha-herpesvirus 수용체로는 작용하지 않습니다. 주로 태반, 배아, 유방암에서 발현되며 정상 유방 상피에서는 검출되지 않습니다. 세포 표면에서 ADAM17에 의해 절단되어 용해형 단백질이 생성됩니다. 이 유전자 변이는 ectodermal dysplasia-syndactyly syndrome type 1의 원인으로 알려져 있습니다.
