Human Interleukin-7 (IL-7)은 림프계 세포 성장 인자로서 림프구 전구세포의 증식을 촉진합니다. IL-7은 간세포 성장인자(HGF)와 결합하여 pre-pro-B 세포 성장 인자로 작용할 수 있습니다. 인간 IL7 cDNA는 177 아미노산 전구체를 암호화하며, 25 아미노산 신호 펩타이드와 152 아미노산 성숙 단백질을 포함합니다. 인간과 마우스 IL-7은 성숙 영역에서 65%의 서열 유사성을 가지며, 교차 종 활성도 나타냅니다. IL-7은 IL-7 수용체(IL7R)를 통해 JaK/STAT 및 PI3K/AKT 경로를 활성화하여 림프구 생존, 포도당 흡수, 증식 및 분화를 조절합니다. 또한 IL-7은 신호 전달을 위해 세포질 IL2-R γ와 연관되어 있습니다.
