α-Actinin은 스펙트린 계열의 세포골격 단백질로, 골격근 세포의 Z선과 평활근 세포의 dense body에 액틴 필라멘트를 부착시키는 데 필수적입니다. 기능적 단백질은 anti-parallel dimer 형태로 존재하며, 인접한 근절(sarcomere)의 얇은 필라멘트를 교차 결합하여 수평축 방향의 근절 간 수축을 조정합니다.
