Target Information
EXOSC7는 RNA exosome complex의 비촉매적 구성요소로, 3’→5’ exoribonuclease 활성을 가진 RNA 분해 및 가공 과정에 관여합니다.
핵 내에서는 rRNA, snRNA, snoRNA 등 안정적 RNA의 성숙과 비암호화 RNA의 제거에 관여하며, 결함 있는 mRNA의 수출을 억제합니다.
세포질에서는 AU-rich element(ARE)를 포함한 불안정한 mRNA의 분해 및 RNA 감시 경로에 관여하여 비정상적 mRNA의 번역을 방지합니다.
또한 Ig class switch recombination(CSR) 및 somatic hypermutation(SHM)에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
EXOSC7를 포함한 9개의 비촉매적 서브유닛(Exo-9)은 RNA 결합 및 분해 효소 복합체 형성의 핵심 구조적 역할을 합니다.
