This antibody recognizes CBX2 (Chromobox protein homolog 2) and binds to a folded domain (amino acids 2–70).
CBX2 is a component of the Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, which maintains the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development.
