Target Information
TPM3 (tropomyosin 3)는 actin 결합 단백질 가족에 속하며, 횡문근 및 평활근의 수축 시스템과 비근육 세포의 세포골격에 관여합니다. Tropomyosin은 coiled-coil 단백질 이합체로, 대부분의 actin 필라멘트의 주요 홈을 따라 종단 연결되어 안정성을 제공하고 다른 actin 결합 단백질의 접근을 조절합니다. 근육 세포에서는 myosin head가 actin 필라멘트에 결합하는 과정을 조절하여 수축을 제어합니다. TPM3 유전자의 변이는 상염색체 우성 nemaline myopathy를 유발하며, 이 유전자와 관련된 염색체 전좌로 형성된 온코진은 암과 연관되어 있습니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변형체가 보고되었습니다.
