The antibody detects endogenous levels of total ADAMTS14 protein.

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motif) protein family. Members of this family share several distinct protein modules, including a propeptide region, a metalloproteinase domain, a disintegrin-like domain, and a thrombospondin type 1 (TS) motif.
Individual members differ in the number of C-terminal TS motifs, and some have unique C-terminal domains.
This gene is highly similar to ADAMTS2 and ADAMTS3 in sequence and structure, and the encoded protein shares aminoprocollagen peptidase activity with them.
Various transcript variants have been identified, resulting from the use of different promoters, transcription initiation sites, and alternative splicing. The full-length nature of some transcripts remains undefined.
