Target Information
PDIR (Protein Disulfide Isomerase-Related Protein)은 인간 태반 cDNA 라이브러리로부터 처음 분리된 새로운 PDI 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 PDI 초과가족 단백질에서 발견되는 세 가지 CXXC 유사 모티프(Cys-Ser-Met-Cys, Cys-Gly-His-Cys, Cys-Pro-His-Cys)를 가지며, 이는 산화환원효소 활성을 담당합니다.
또한 C-말단에 Lys-Glu-Glu-Leu 서열을 포함하여 소포체(ER) 잔류 단백질임을 나타냅니다.
Northern blot 분석 결과, PDIR은 단백질을 활발히 분비하는 세포에서 우선적으로 발현되며, 스트레스 유도성으로 발현이 증가함이 보고되었습니다.
PDIR은 다른 PDI 단백질과 마찬가지로 이황화 결합의 산화환원효소 활성을 가지며, ER 내 단백질 접힘 과정에 기여합니다.
