- This antibody also cross-reacts with endogenous levels of Syk when phosphorylated at Tyr526.
Target Information
ZAP-70 is a cytosolic protein tyrosine kinase belonging to the Syk family. It is expressed exclusively in T-cells and natural killer cells and is essential for T-cell receptor activation. Upon TCR engagement, ZAP-70 is phosphorylated on tyrosines 292, 315, and 319 in interdomain B, located between the SH2 and kinase domains.
Phosphorylation of tyrosines 315 (Vav binding site) and 319 (Lck binding site) enhances ZAP-70 function in lymphocyte signaling, while phosphorylation at tyrosine 292 attenuates activation.
