For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

CD26 (dipeptidyl peptidase IV, DPP IV; adenosine deaminase binding protein) is a homodimeric atypical serine protease belonging to the prolyl oligopeptidase family.

• Expressed on lymphocytes and upregulated during T-cell activation
• Found on activated B cells, NK cells, and epithelial tissues
• Involved in T-cell activation, cell adhesion (fibronectin, collagens), and HIV infection
• Identical to adenosine deaminase complexing protein-2 and T-cell activation antigen CD26
• Functions as a membrane glycoprotein and serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from N-terminus
• CD26 activity correlates with tumor grade and severity; altered density observed in rheumatoid arthritis and lupus
