Target Information

The NR0B2 gene encodes an orphan nuclear receptor lacking a conventional DNA-binding domain but containing a ligand-binding domain. It belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor family, which includes transcription factors regulated by small hydrophobic hormones. NR0B2 interacts with retinoid, thyroid, and estrogen receptors, inhibiting their ligand-dependent transcriptional activation. It represses nuclear hormone receptor-mediated transactivation through competition with coactivators and its intrinsic repressor function.
