MYLK (MLCK)는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, 미오신 조절 경쇄를 인산화하여 미오신-액틴 상호작용을 통한 수축 활동을 돕습니다. MLCK는 평활근 수축, 혈관 투과성 조절, 신경계에서의 시냅스 전달 및 섬유아세포 세포사멸 신호에 관여합니다. 다양한 성체 및 태아 조직에서 평활근 및 비평활근 아이소폼이 발현되며, Telokin 아이소폼은 칼모듈린 결합 특성을 가집니다. 단백질은 1개의 fibronectin type III 도메인과 9개의 immunoglobulin-like C2-type 도메인을 포함합니다.
