Target Information
UT-A1 is a kidney-specific urea transporter expressed in the renal collecting duct. It mediates trans-epithelial urea transport and is regulated by vasopressin. Urea movement from the collecting duct to the medullary interstitium facilitates water reabsorption and concentration of urine in the kidney.
