Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TPMT catalyzes the S-methylation of thiopurine drugs such as 6-mercaptopurine.
Defects in TPMT cause thiopurine S-methyltransferase deficiency, affecting metabolism of immunosuppressive or cytotoxic thiopurine drugs used in conditions like leukemia, autoimmune diseases, and organ transplantation.
Patients with reduced TPMT activity are at risk of toxicity from standard thiopurine doses, with genetic variation at the TPMT locus being a major determinant of individual response.
