Target Information

IL-1 receptor associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in signaling via Toll/IL-1 pathways. IRAK1 is rapidly recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex upon TLR activation. Its association with MYD88 leads to IRAK1 phosphorylation by IRAK4 and subsequent autophosphorylation and kinase activation. IRAK1 can also phosphorylate TIRAP to promote its ubiquitination and degradation, and phosphorylate IRF7 to induce activation and nuclear translocation, leading to transcriptional activation of type I IFN genes and antiviral response.
