Target Information
Laminins are extracellular matrix glycoproteins and major noncollagenous constituents of basement membranes.
They play roles in cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth, and metastasis.
Laminins consist of three non-identical chains (alpha, beta, gamma) forming a cruciform structure.
Defects in the LMNB1 gene can cause Leukodystrophy, demyelinating, autosomal dominant, adult-onset (ADLD).
