Product Specific Information

MA5-15490 targets FGR in indirect ELISA, IHC, and WB applications and shows reactivity with human and mouse samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human FGR expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15490 detects FGR, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 56 kDa.

Target Information

FGR is a SRC-related kinase present in hematopoietic cells. It participates in multiple signaling pathways, including the integrin pathway and downstream of chemokine and cytokine receptors.
This protein contains N-terminal sites for myristylation and palmitoylation, a PTK domain, and SH2/SH3 domains that mediate protein-protein interactions with phosphotyrosine-containing and proline-rich motifs.
FGR localizes to plasma membrane ruffles and functions as a negative regulator of cell migration and adhesion triggered by the beta-2 integrin signal transduction pathway.
Infection with Epstein-Barr virus results in the overexpression of this protein.
