Target Information
RB-like 1은 retinoblastoma 1 (RB1) 유전자 산물과 유사한 서열 및 기능을 가지는 단백질로, 세포 주기 조절에 관여하는 종양 억제 단백질입니다. RB1 단백질은 S기에서 M기로의 전환 시 인산화되고, G1기에서 탈인산화됩니다. RB1과 RB-like 1은 adenovirus E1A 및 SV40 large T-antigen과 복합체를 형성할 수 있으며, 두 단백질 모두 E2F 결합 부위를 포함하는 세포 주기 유전자 전사를 억제할 수 있습니다. 이러한 생화학적 유사성으로 인해 RB-like 1 역시 종양 억제 역할을 하는 것으로 추정됩니다.
