Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Metadherin (MTDH, LYRIC) is a metastasis adhesion protein localized with tight junction proteins ZO-1 and occludin in polarized epithelial cells. It is recruited during tight junction maturation rather than acting as a structural component.
MTDH is overexpressed in breast cancer tissues and xenografts, with low expression in normal breast tissue. It binds to lung vasculature, a common site of breast cancer metastasis. Blocking this interaction or inhibiting MTDH expression has been reported to reduce metastatic potential.
