For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The human UNG gene encodes both nuclear (UNG2) and mitochondrial (UNG1) forms of uracil-DNA glycosylase.
These forms arise from alternative splicing and two differentially regulated promoters (PA and PB).
UNG1 and UNG2 cDNAs are similar in size (2061 and 2058 bp) and are not resolved as separate species in gel electrophoresis.
UNG2 differs from UNG1 by 44 amino acids in the N-terminal region, which is not required for catalytic activity.
UNG proteins repair mutagenic U:G mispairs caused by cytosine deamination and remove misincorporated dUMP residues.
Expression of UNG is cell cycle regulated and generally higher in proliferating cells and tissues.
UNG1: 304 amino acids; UNG2: 313 amino acids.
