Alpha2-HS glycoprotein (AHSG) is a serum glycoprotein synthesized by hepatocytes. It consists of two polypeptide chains derived from a single mRNA. It is found in the cortical plate of the immature cerebral cortex and bone marrow hematopoietic matrix, suggesting a role in tissue development, though its exact function remains unclear.
