For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Synaptophysin is a calcium-binding integral membrane glycoprotein located in presynaptic vesicles of nearly all neurons. It has four transmembrane domains and forms complexes with dynamin under high calcium conditions, suggesting a role in synaptic vesicle endocytosis. Synaptophysin also regulates short-term and long-term synaptic plasticity and is widely used as a marker for nerve terminals and neuroendocrine tumor differentiation. Mutations in the gene may lead to X-linked mental retardation.
