Target Information
GOT1 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme existing in cytoplasmic (GOT1) and mitochondrial (GOT2) forms.
It participates in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles.
Both enzymes are homodimeric and exhibit close homology.
