Storage and Reconstitution

• The formulation was updated from PBS with 0.02% thimerosal to PBS without thimerosal on 31/Mar/2024.
• Lot numbers greater than 2855945 will not contain thimerosal.
• Store product at -20°C until opened.
• Reconstitute using 0.5 mL PBS (pH 7.2) to yield a 1 mg/mL stock solution.
• After reconstitution in buffer without a stabilizer, the product is stable for approximately 3 months at 4°C.
• For prolonged storage, add glycerol to a final concentration of 50% (v/v), aliquot, and store at -20°C (stable for up to 1 year).
• If reconstituted in buffer containing a preservative (e.g., PBS with 0.02% thimerosal), it is stable for up to 1 year at 4°C.

Target Information

Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with high specificity for rat immunoglobulins.
They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of rat targets.
Secondary antibodies enhance versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to one primary antibody.
Typically, they are generated by immunizing the host with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, label conjugation).
