Target Information
CAMK1G (CaMKI gamma) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the CAMK family. It is a membrane-anchored, neuronal Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase. Full activation requires Ca²⁺, calmodulin, and phosphorylation by CAMKK. CAMK1G transcripts are most abundant in neurons, particularly in the central nucleus of the amygdala (CeA) and the ventromedial hypothalamus.
