Target Information
TET2는 5-메틸시토신(5mC)을 5-하이드록시메틸시토신(5hmC)으로 전환하는 디옥시게나아제로, DNA 탈메틸화 과정의 핵심 역할을 합니다. 또한 5hmC를 5-포밀시토신(5fC) 및 5-카복실시토신(5caC)으로 전환하여 시토신 탈메틸화의 초기 단계를 매개합니다.
TET2는 CpG-rich 프로모터에서 O-GlcNAc transferase(OGT)를 모집하여 히스톤 H2B의 GlcNAcylation을 촉진합니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Polycythemia vera 및 Myelodysplastic syndrome과 관련이 있습니다.
