Target Information
RGS14는 G-단백질 신호 조절자(RGS) 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 하나의 RGS 도메인, 두 개의 Raf-like Ras-binding 도메인(RBDs), 그리고 하나의 GoLoco 도메인을 포함한다.
이 단백질은 GoLoco 도메인을 통해 활성화된 GTP 결합 Gα 서브유닛에 결합하여 G-단백질의 신호 활성화를 억제하며, GTPase 활성화 단백질(GAP)로 작용하여 GTP를 GDP로 전환하는 속도를 증가시킨다.
이 과정은 Gα 서브유닛이 Gβ/γ 이합체와 결합하여 비활성 G-단백질 삼합체를 형성하게 하며, 신호를 종결시킨다.
또한 RGS14는 미세소관 중합 및 방추체 조직화를 양성 조절하며 세포 분열, 신경 성장 인자(NGF) 매개 신경돌기 성장, 스트레스 저항성에 관여한다.
