Target Information
Interacts with phosphorylated C-terminal heptapeptide repeat domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A, and participates in dephosphorylation of the CTD by RPAP2.
Acts as a transcriptional regulator enhancing expression of CCND1 and several cell cycle-related genes such as CDK2, CDK4, CDK6, cyclin-E, but not CDKN1A, CDKN1B, or cyclin-A.
Promotes RNA polymerase II binding to promoter and termination regions, prevents read-through beyond the 3′ end termination site, and may facilitate chromatin loop formation for transcription reinitiation.
Promotes cell proliferation.
