Target Information
FASTKD1 is a member of the FASTKD family and localizes to mitochondria, where it modulates energy balance, particularly under stress conditions. Although expressed in all tissues, it is more abundant in skeletal and heart muscle, as well as other mitochondria-rich tissues. FASTKD1 functions as an RNA-binding protein.
