Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5, also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1). CD185 is a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.

• Expressed on B cells, CD4+ T cells (excluding Th1/Th2), and memory (CD45RO+) T cells
• Plays a role in T cell migration to lymph nodes and B cell follicles via CXCL13
• Marker for follicular helper T cells (Tfh)

Applications Tested: Pre-diluted, tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL/test (0.5 µg/mL)

Fluorochrome Characteristics:
Super Bright 645 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 645 nm. Use a 660/20 bandpass filter. Protect from light due to photo-induced oxidation sensitivity.

Recommended Buffers:

• Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when using multiple Super Bright dyes.
• Fixation with IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) allows storage up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

CXCR5 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185)
Also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), CXCR5 is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC, expressed in lymphoid tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen. It plays an essential role in B cell migration and lymphocyte trafficking.

CXCR5 expression has been reported in:

• Human blood, salivary gland
• Animal lymphatic organs, bone marrow, brain, liver, lymph node, skin, spleen, stomach, tonsil

Research relevance:
CXCR5 is a key molecule in Tfh and B cell biology and a target for immune regulation and trafficking studies.
