Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain an antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on many stem cell populations. It functions as a stem cell marker and may act as a surface receptor involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis, adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and progenitors.
CD34 expression reflects specific stages of hematopoietic development and may facilitate stem cell attachment to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells. It may also serve as a scaffold for glycans that bind to lectins on marrow components.
The intracellular domain can be phosphorylated by activated protein kinase C, suggesting a role in signal transduction.
Dysfunction of CD34 is associated with diseases such as dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
