Target Information
GAMT (Guanidinoacetate N-methyltransferase)는 guanidinoacetate를 creatine으로 전환시키는 메틸트랜스퍼레이스로, S-adenosylmethionine을 메틸 공여체로 사용합니다.
이 유전자의 결함은 신경학적 증후군 및 근육 저긴장증과 관련이 있으며, 이는 creatine 결핍과 뇌 내 guanidinoacetate 축적 때문으로 알려져 있습니다.
두 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
