Target Information
Cytokeratin 8은 염색체 12의 긴 팔에 위치한 type II keratin 계열 단백질로, type I keratin과 함께 중간 필라멘트를 형성하여 상피세포의 구조적 안정성을 유지합니다. Keratin 18과 주로 이합체를 이루며, 단층 상피세포에서 세포 구조 유지, 신호전달 및 세포 분화에 관여합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 cryptogenic cirrhosis를 유발할 수 있습니다.
